LAFRUTTA was born from Massimiliano Biaggioli’s passion for processing fruit and vegetables.

The quality of the vegetable raw material is respected and enhanced by artisanal processing and circular vision, pillars of an innovative approach which is able to give new value even to the by-products of traditional processing, normally considered “waste.”

These sweet/spicy condiments are made by gelling syrups derived from the artisanal processing of candied fruits. They can accompany cheeses, cured meats, raw and grilled meats and fish.

Research on candied vegetables has brought innovation to a great tradition: onion, cauliflower, fennel, celery, carrot, bell bell pepper, green beans are candied and stored in sweet and sour syrup.

MARMALADES

Marmalades are related to the production of candied fruit; the pulp, separated from the peel, becomes, with sugar, the raw material for quick cooking that captures the flavor of citrus.

Sweet/spicy condiments made by gelling syrups derived from the artisanal processing of candied fruit, without using added flavors and colorings.
Each spread fully expresses the aroma of the fruit or vegetable of origin, thanks to the enhancing action of sugar, whose sweetness is balanced by the characteristic flavor profile of raw material and the spiciness of chili syrup.
Recommended to accompany charcuterie and cheese boards, raw meat and fish, grilled meats and gourmet burgers.

Porcini mushroom, olive, red cabbage, fennel, bell bell pepper, cauliflower, tomato, celery, carrot, onion are just some of the “brave” candied veg, LAFRUTTA‘s innovative proposal.

Processed in small batches, the fresh vegetables are left to steep for several days in a sugar syrup that never reaches a boil. “Brave” candied veg have the distinct flavor of the original product and a harmonious and balanced flavor profile, thanks to the small proportion of chili syrup, which complements the spicy note.

Some “brave” candied veg were chosen to pay homage to a great traditional classic: giardiniera, traditional italian pickled vegetables. In its “candied” version, it brings together and enhances the flavors of the best expressions of the garden and preserves them in a sweet-and-sour, non-spicy syrup.
